Law Clerk Positions 2010 - 2011
Judicial clerkships with the New Hampshire Supreme Court in Concord, New Hampshire will be filled for employment to begin in late August 2010. Each of the five justices of the Supreme Court has two law clerks who work closely with the justice in the process of researching and writing opinions. The annual salary is currently $51,624.00 plus certain benefits.
The deadline for filing application materials is August 1, 2009, but applicants are encouraged to file early. Interviews will be held in early September 2009. Successful candidates will demonstrate an excellent writing and research background. Admission to the New Hampshire Bar is not a requirement for the law clerk position.
Applicants who either possess a law degree or are candidates for a law degree in 2010 should mail one copy of their application materials to Mrs. Margaret Haskett, Executive Secretary to the Chief Justice, N.H. Supreme Court, One Charles Doe Drive, Concord, NH 03301 (603-271-2646). Electronic applications are not accepted. Application materials should include a cover letter, a resume, the names of three references with contact information, a law school transcript, and a writing sample of not more than ten pages in length.
