Special Programs and Committees
The Communications Office offers several special programs, such as the On the Road annual Supreme Court oral arguments that are held in high schools across the state, and committees such as the Committee on the Judiciary and the Media.
On the Road
The Supreme Court "On the Road" program provides high school students and community members with a unique opportunity to see the Supreme Court at work.
Since 2002, the court has held oral arguments in real cases at St. Anselm College in Manchester, Dover High School, Dartmouth College, Plymouth State University, Keene State College, Nashua High School North, Phillips Exeter Academy and Berlin High School. Each event was attended by hundreds of high school students. After oral argument, the students, who had been briefed on the cases prior to argument by volunteers from the New Hampshire Bar Association, had the opportunity to ask counsel about their cases. Following oral argument, the members of the Supreme Court answered questions from the students about the court and its work.

Committee on the Judiciary and the Media
In November 2002, a joint Committee on the Judiciary and the Media was established to improve communication between the court system and the media. The goal of the committee is to provide a forum for addressing important issues that arise concerning media coverage of the judicial system. The committee, which will meet four times a year, is chaired jointly by a representative of the judiciary and a representative from the media
