What to Bring

BRING ANY PAPERWORK YOU HAVE RECEIVED WHEN YOU WERE ARRESTED OR GIVEN A SUMMONS. 

DO NOT BRING WITNESSES OR EVIDENCE WITH YOU TO YOUR FIRST COURT APPEARANCE. Witnesses and evidence are for trial, not for the initial arraignment. If your initial appearance is a trial however, such as with some motor vehicle matters, then bring all witnesses and evidence you want the judge to consider. 

IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO PLEAD GUILTY OR NOLO TO AN OFFENSE, BRING THE FINE MONEY WITH YOU. If you do not know what the fine will be, contact the prosecutor before your court date and inquire.
