To accommodate requests to attend oral argument on January 29, 2003 at 10 a.m., the court will make approximately 100 seats available. Each side in the case will have 25 minutes of argument.

Thirty seats have been set aside for the parties to the case and 15 for members of the media.

Parties and media interested in a reserved seat should contact the Court Information Office for a reserved seat (271-2646 X359). The deadline for reserving seats is 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 28.

Seats that have not been reserved, and all other seating in the courtroom, will be available on a first come, first served basis on the day of oral argument.

All broadcast equipment should be in place and tested by 9:45 a.m. Equipment shall not be adjusted or dismantled during the proceedings.

Media are advised to arrive early to park and allow for security procedures prior to entry into the courtroom. The courthouse opens at 8:30 a.m. The courtroom will open at 9:30 a.m.

No cameras are permitted in the courtroom except for the pool assignment. Cellular telephones should be turned off or muted at all times. Hand held tape recording devices can be used but shall not be placed on the bar to the well of the courtroom. Audio copies of oral argument are available on CD at $25 per disc. Same day copies are NOT available.

Broadcast or print interviews will not be permitted inside the courthouse either before or after oral argument. Exceptions may be made in case of inclement weather.
