The New Hampshire Supreme Court will hear oral argument in the above captioned case at 10 a.m. on June 22, 2006. To accommodate requests to attend oral argument, the court will reserve 25 seats for parties to the case and 10 seats for the media.

Parties and media interested in reserved seats should contact Laura Mitchell ( 271-2646 x362) in the Court Communications Office. The deadline for reserved seating is noon on Tuesday, June 20, 2006.

Seats that have not been reserved, and all other seating in the courtroom, will be available on a first come, first served basis on the day of oral argument.

All broadcast equipment should be in place and tested by 9:45 a.m. Equipment shall not be adjusted or dismantled during the proceedings.

Media are advised to arrive early to park and allow for security procedures prior to entry into the courtroom. The courthouse opens at 8:30 a.m. The courtroom will open at 9:30 a.m.

No cameras are permitted in the courtroom except for the pool assignments:

Oral argument will be broadcast live on the Internet and will be available at A recording will be archived and available for replay through the Internet within 24 hours of oral argument. A CD of the audio portion of the argument is available for $25.00 from the Supreme Court clerk’s office. Same day copies are NOT available.

During oral argument, cellular telephones should be turned off or muted at all times. Hand held tape recording devices may be used but shall not be placed on the bar to the well of the courtroom.

Broadcast or print interviews will not be permitted inside the courthouse either before or after oral argument. Exceptions may be made in case of inclement weather.
