APPOINTMENTS OF EXECUTORS AND ADMINISTRATORS NOW ONLINE
MARCH 10, 2011 -- Notices of executor and administrator appointments for decedents' estates made by the New Hampshire Probate Court are now available on the Judicial Branch website. The notices, which are also published in newspapers around the state, are listed on the website in the county where the appointment was made. By law, the information about these appointments must be published for estates valued at over $10,000.
The probate court is posting the notices electronically to provide broader access to the information to the general public and to persons or entities who either are owed money by the estate, or are indebted to it. The publication notice includes the name and address of the executor or administrator who has been appointed by the probate court to resolve issues involving the estate. By law, these notices must also be published in a local or state-wide newspaper and the executor or administrator pays the cost of print publication of the notices.
To access the lists online, go to the probate court home page and under "Quick Links" on the right hand side of the page look for the icon titled "Estate Appointments."
