Attorney James I. Peale appointed Clerk of the Cheshire and Sullivan County Superior Courts


December 7 - Tina L. Nadeau, Chief Justice of the New Hampshire Superior Court, today announced that Attorney James I. Peale has been appointed Clerk of the Cheshire and Sullivan County Superior Courts to replace Barbara A. Hogan, Esquire, who is retiring on January 1, 2012.

Attorney Peale is a graduate of Colby College (B.A. 1977) and Walter F. George Law School, Mercer University (J.D. 1981). Since June 2011 Attorney Peale has served as the Clerk of the Belknap and Carroll County Superior Courts. Prior to that he was the Clerk of the Sullivan County Superior Court from December 2005 through October 2009; and Acting Clerk of Belknap County Superior Court from November 2009 until he was officially appointed Clerk of Belknap and Carroll County Superior Courts in June 2011. From July 1987 to November 2004, Attorney Peale served as Deputy Clerk in Merrimack County Superior Court and in Cheshire County Superior Court. Previously he was employed by the New Hampshire Department of Corrections and the Rockingham County Attorney's Office. Attorney Peale is a member of the New Hampshire Bar Association and the Maine Bar Association.

Attorney Peale's appointment will become effective on January 1, 2012.
