According to Gail Monet, Register, since 2001 the Carroll County Probate Court has had 13 volunteers who have given their time in excess of 2,200 hours. The volunteers work as researchers, visitors to nursing homes, group homes, private home placement and family homes. One gentlemen keeps the imagining of documents up to date through 2003.
Over the years, these wonderful people have developed working relationships with the guardians and wards. They give them a link to the Court, someone who strives to help them get the answers to questions or just someone to talk to about their individual situations.
Judge Patten said "The kind hearts and community spirit of service of these volunteers is extraordinary and most appreciated." |
