Mooremart's 5th Annual Treats for the Troops Drive

MooreMart

On June 19th, 2010 Mooremart hosted its 5th annual 4th of July Treats for the Troops Drive at the Nashua National Guard Armory. On June 19th MooreMart was able to collect and ship 1332 donated and decorated bags of supplies to members of the New Hampshire National Guard as well as service men and women serving in Armed Services in the Middle East. The bags decorated were decorated by local children and included patriotic themes for the 4th of July holiday. Along with the 4th of July Holiday supplies MooreMart was also able to ship humanitarian aid to include school supplies, basketballs and clothing to schools and orphanages throughout Iraq and Afghanistan.

To date MooreMart has been able to ship over 26,864 care packages to members of the United States Armed Services as well as 2.8 tons of relief supplies, 3,200 soccer balls, 5,600 cases of girl scout cookies and 7,100 beenie babes to members of the Armed Services that are then distributed to local schools and orphanages throughout the Middle East.

Special Justice Paul Moore, who sits in Milford District Court, co-founded MooreMart with his sister Carole Moore Biggio. On behalf of the volunteers, Judge Moore thanks everyone who participated in this event to include the New Hampshire Bar Association; Devine, Millimet and Branch, PA; The Wadliegh Law Firm, District and Family Court Clerks and administrative personnel to name a few!
