Advisory Committee on Rules requests public comment on proposed changes to court rules
About the Committee
The Advisory Committee on Rules, established by Supreme Court Rule 51, receives and considers suggestions for changes to the rules governing the state courts. Suggestions for changes to court rules may be submitted by courts, judges, the bar, and members of the public by writing to the committee at the following address:

Members
The committee is composed of 16 members. The Supreme Court may appoint one judge from the Supreme Court, one judge from the Superior Court, one judge from the District Court, one judge from the Probate Court, one judge, master or administrator from the Family Division, two attorneys, and three lay persons.
The Governor may appoint one member. The President of the New Hampshire Senate may appoint one member of the Senate, and the Speaker of the House of Representatives may appoint one member of the House. The President of the New Hampshire Bar Association may appoint one member of the Bar Association Board of Governors and one member of the Committee on Cooperation with the Courts.
The committee holds meetings in March, June, September and December, and holds at least one public hearing each year.
Committee Minutes
Beginning with the March 2002 meeting, the committee has voted to make the minutes of its meetings available to the public. After the minutes of a meeting have been approved (which will ordinarily occur at the subsequent meeting of the committee), they will be posted on this website. In addition, notices of the committee's public hearings will be posted on this website.
