Judicial Branch wins national award for NH e-Court program
CONCORD, N.H. - The New Hampshire Judicial Branch has received the 2016 National Association for Court Management (NACM) Top 10 Technology Solutions Award for its use of the TurboCourt eFiling solution for self-represented litigants. The honor was presented at the NACM Annual Meeting on July 12, in Pittsburgh.
New Hampshire’s e-Court Project partners the Judicial Branch with TurboCourt for self-represented parties and with Tyler Technologies for attorneys. Together, the New Hampshire Judicial Branch and TurboCourt worked to successfully implement the first-in-the nation mandatory statewide e-filing program for self-represented litigants (SRL) regarding small claims and guardianships.
Chief Justice of the New Hampshire Supreme Court, Linda S. Dalianis, reacted with pride concerning the award. “We are pleased to offer New Hampshire’s self-represented litigants e-Filing pathways. Since starting this initiative, more than 10,000 self-representing parties have filed on-line,” she said. “In a recent survey, filers described our system as convenient, user-friendly, intuitive and helpful – all of which tell us that we are on the right track to increasing self-representing parties’ access to justice.”
