Superior Court Administrative Rules Table
of Contents
The time limits established herein by Rule 11-6 are administrative rules designed for the convenience of the Court and are not intended to create rights personal to the patient. These time limits are not to be construed to prevent the State from petitioning for recommittal if, after the State has allowed the deadline to pass without petitioning for recommittal, the State becomes aware of grounds not previously known which would support such a petition. And nothing in these rules shall be construed to prevent the State from introducing at the hearing evidence of a patient's conduct in the period after the petition was filed and prior to the hearing; however, if the State anticipates reliance on such evidence, it should afford timely notice of this to the patient's counsel whenever possible.
