In accordance with Superior Court Rules 14 and 19 as interpreted by the Court, no person not a member of the New Hampshire Bar will be permitted to appear unless a member of the New Hampshire Bar has first entered an appearance and filed a written Motion seeking Court approval of the appearance of out-of-state counsel.

If the Motion is granted, the out-of-state attorney shall enter a signed written appearance before being permitted to participate in any way in the pending litigation. New Hampshire counsel is required to be present at every court hearing in the case. If a case is scheduled and the out-of-state counsel does not appear, it is expected that in-state counsel will proceed with the hearing and that the opposing party will not be inconvenienced by a continuance.

Continuances are not to be granted routinely to out-of-state counsel because of conflicting schedules or travel problems.
